If you pass blood clots during period that are bigger than a quarter or the size of a golf ball then you are definitely experiencing heavy menstruation. This can happen if the fibroid tissue doesn t detach enough from the uterus to be expulsed or a woman s cervix may not dilate enough to allow the tissue to pass.
