As you can imagine when washing up liquid is placed into a dishwasher it causes a large build up of bubbles and suds.
The short answer is no. The machine can start leaking water as the tub fills with bubbles and the soap can leave a residue on the dishes. Unfortunately that s not the case. Water heat and movement all contribute to increasing the volume of bubbles inside of a dishwasher with washing up liquid inside.
Only detergents that are specially formulated for dishwashers should be used in these appliances. So it seems like you should be able to use dishwashing liquid in the dishwasher. Can i use dishwashing liquid in the dishwasher. Dishwasher tablets and liquid dishwashing soap do the same job right.
If you fill the soap container in your dishwasher with ordinary dish liquid the resulting suds will fill your dishwasher with suds and then overflow from the appliance to the floor.
