Can You Put Leather In The Dryer
Olivia Luz
You have to monitor it closely especially if you have the satin lining.
The high heat can cause the fabric to distort or crack. Even if you ve been caught in a downpour it s not a good idea to attempt to dry any type of leather even faux leather in a clothes dryer. You may not want to dry shoes with sequins or other embellishments because they may fall off. Let it dry by its self.
You might chance putting your leather coat in your dryer for the same reasons but in the warm or cool setting. How do you think about the answers. Polyester is quick drying so you may not even need to use a clothes dryer but for peace of mind you won t ruin your clothes if you do use a machine. In both dryer cases i recommend putting the jacket inside a pillow case and tying the open end sht with string.
You can probably use the dryer if the shoes are made of cotton canvas nylon or polyester. You can use the dryer on tumble dry with no heat to help break in the jacket and really soften it up nicely. Leather will shrink when exposed to high heat. Using a low temperature cycle will also avoid any possible damage or shrinkage.

Most shoes have some sort of compound that holds. No you shouldn t put shoes in the dryer to begin with unless they are made totally out of cloth even that should be on low heat. I only left my coat in the dryer for 15 minutes so don t leave your coat in there much longer on the warm setting.
