If god be for us who can be against us. M y favorite verse in the bible one that still gives me goose bumps is. What can man do to me. τίς not τί in opposition to ὁ θεὸς.
If god is for us who can be against us. He that spared not his own son but delivered him up for us all evidently not for the elect only but for all mankind. Who what adverse power can there possibly be stronger than god. Grant us of his free grace all.
In luke 12 4 5 jesus said i tell you my friends do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. Fear him who after your body has been killed has authority to throw. Whom shall i fear. But i will show you whom you should fear.

If god is for us then who is against us who can be our foe if god is on our side. Paul goes on in the next couple of verses to explain how god is the one who justified us romans 8 33 and jesus is the one who died for us romans 8 34 so in reality who can bring an accusation against us. He that did not hesitate to spare his own son but gave him up for us all can we not trust such a god to give us with him everything else that we can need. If god is for us who can be against us romans 8 31 almighty god is sovereign over all things and he is untouchable.
So when paul writes if god is for us who can be against us he is comparing earthly opposition to the eternal power and presence of almighty god and he declares the winner. The lord is my light and my salvation. More than conquerors what then shall we say in response to these things. If god is for us who can be against us.
He who did not spare his own son but gave him up for us all how will he not also along with him graciously give us all things. The lord is the strength of my life. Jub what shall we then say to these things. On romans 5 18 how shall he not with him also freely give us i e.
