If you ever go out with your baby ensure to bathe her immediately if needed when you are back at the house to wash away possible germ.
But there are no set rules about how long to wait before taking a newborn out into the world or when to let people near the baby. Some doctors prefer for parents to wait until their baby is a few months old before going to crowded public places like malls movie theaters and airplanes. You just need to be careful of where you take them. Make sure your baby s vaccines are up to date.
Since there is no tradition that says you can t take your newborn baby out in public but be guided as already discussed. If you go out with your baby it s wise to take these precautions. In fact the fresh air of a leisurely walk in the park or a quiet picnic in the backyard can be wonderful ways to get your baby out of the house and introduce them to the world. As stated above most health care professionals advise that newborn babies be kept out of crowded public places for the first six to eight weeks of life.
But taking your baby out in public is not a bad thing as long as you do avoid those crowds. That doesn t mean that you can t take your baby out at all during that time.
